Let’s escape to the beach

Life is better at the beach, isn’t it?

I mean,

You have the beautiful, relaxing and breathtaking atmosphere

The lovely sound of the wind, waves, seagulls and music

The warm and comfy feel of the sand between your toes

And the smell of hot dog stands, ice cream trucks and the salty water

The beach is a very peaceful place and an environment to ease your mind and appreciate natures beauty.

I realized that I’ve only been to the beach twice in my life and I feel like that is not acceptable. So on Thursday, June 19th 2014, I was filled with joy and excitement since I was finally able to go to the beach at Woodbine with the lovely Shanice Romelus. It felt like were on a dream vacation on a tropical island escaping reality and leaving everything behind.

We’re sitting on the rocks, listening to the waves coming ashore, taking pictures, laying under the sun, walking on the beautiful board walk and of course trying to get into the cold water there and then. It was truly the most peaceful and relaxing thing ever!

I went on the most beautiful and cutest adventure with Seerlee Archer and Shanice Romelus  on  Tuesday, May 20th.  Where we walked around Spadina/Queen Street till Yonge and we often stop to take not a couple but A LOT of pictures mostly of our outfits for our daily “Outfit Of The Day” post and others of eye capturing stuff we see while walking. Here’s my Wild Child Outfit Of The Day which is already featured on my lookbook and my Instagram

“Roll Up: Chasing Spring”

photo(21)

Dear Readers,
I’d like to apologize for not being able to post new blog entries every Friday at 5 O’clock. Not only have I been slacking on them but I’ve been so busy with projects and test for second semester and I’m still in the process of unpacking tones of boxes that are still left in the garage, since I have just recently moved………but no need to worry anymore I’m back for good!

On Tuesday, April 1st 2014, I had a lovely opportunity to be a model and help out my dear friend Jacqlyn Sagna [http://madsophisticated.wordpress.com] along with her partner Cathy Nguyen with their fashion editorial project.
For this beautiful photo-shoot, Jacqlyn was inspired by UK magazine Rollacoaster, she directed and styled a streetwear shoot that shows the transition of the winter to spring wardrobe.

I must say, it was such a great feeling seeing Jacqlyn’s vision coming to life in this photo-shoot thanks to the photographer who was as well her partner Cathy Nguyen. I had a blast trying on different outfits and posting in front of the camera even though I have no experience as a model LOL but it was so much fun!

Take a look at Jacqlyn Sagna and Cathy Nguyen final outcome of the project below!  Enjoy

Lookbook Graffiti Adventures

Processed with VSCOcam with b5 preset

Last Friday Seerlee, Shanice and I went downtown around Queen’s Street. We  originally just planned to go take pictures for our lookbook at this one street that had this amazing graffiti but when we got there we thought before we do that, why not go on a little adventure to explore and see more graffiti. We came across this alley laneway behind The Store On Queen. I must say that it was eye opening and simply just beautiful! It was non-stop graffiti. Every single garage, wall and buildings were covered in tags, graffiti’s and beautiful commissioned murals. I can’t get over how incredible these graffiti were.

For our lookbook we thought why not bring fashion to graffiti. Every Friday or Saturday, we do our “Outfit of the Day” post which brings us to do these amazing adventures. We go on a hunt for one graffiti but we end up finding so much more which is ten times better and such a good opportunity for us to either snap a quick picture of it or simply just pose in front of it and post it on all of our social media accounts.

Sincerely,

Demoiselle en noir
